Fosselman’s Ice Cream

Brick stacks upon brick
Buildings hold their mysteries
This one holds ice cream.
Bricks.

Bricks.

More bricks.

More bricks.

I rarely ever see brick buildings.  There is a sense of permanence from the weathered bricks.  I like things that last.  Inside I was impressed to see you could buy half gallons of ice cream to take home.  Why limit yourself to only a scoop or two.  If only I lived closer.  Lots of good flavors to choose from but I limited myself to just 2.

Choices.

Choices.

More choices.

More choices.

Ice cream was frozen solid. Cream base was rich, high in butterfat.   Root beer and lychee flavors came through strong. Both were delicious.  Now I just need to figure out how to properly fill my cooler with dry ice to bring back some half gallons of the most delicious flavors.

  1. You’d find lots of brick in Texas. But I suppose that’s moot cuz we’re in Cali. Ice cream is the summer dream. Especially such a hot one as this. Good idea on limits… I had to do that too! I’d try the lychee one.

Good stuff. We used to go there when we lived in the SGV.

      Hey Kirk,

Next time I go I’m gonna get dry ice and bring back some half gallons. Haven’t found any great root beer or lychee ice cream in San Diego. *sigh
