Corbin’s Q @ La Jolla Open Aire Market
Sun rises in east
Red oak smoke billows from grill
BBQ rib breakfast awaits.
Scent of red oak is in the air. I follow like a lemming to the sea. Smoky aroma guided me through the La Jolla farmer’s market to Corbin’s Q. Faye of Faye’s Fork told me I could get some good bbq from Corbin’s Q.

Rendezvous Del Mar Plaza 1555 Camino Del Mar #102, Del Mar, CA 92014
Ordered the Singapore Chow Konnyaku Noodle with no egg. The menu description states it comes with; Chicken and shrimp sautéed with bean sprouts, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, green onion, white onion, snow peas, and Konnyaku noodles in a yellow curry sauce. For some reason my green and red bell peppers were missing, no worries it was delicious as is, but I just love bell peppers and was looking forward to them.

It’s nothing! Just one small step, looking for a man who wants to be President of the United States, and having the cash to make it possible. Michael, we’re bigger than U.S. Steel.
The Godfather II
Photos of old Havana line the walls of the banquet area. I imagine Havana inspiring the scenes in Godfather II. Classic American cars. Good Cuban food. Place is a reminder of a past I’ve only seen on the big screen. I seem to come here mostly on cold winter days. Maybe it’s because of how warming the food is…
