Sun glistens on bay
Scent of grilling meat billows
Festive paradise.
I’m not a regular at baby showers but my nephew mentioned there would be all you can eat street tacos. I showed up early and took photos of everything. The owner of the taco company was very friendly and informative.
Faced with a choice of 3 different tacos I couldn’t decide and ate all 3. Carnitas was incredibly juicy and tender with a nice pork flavor. Carne asada was well marinated and also quite tender and tasty. Chicken was tender, juicy, and nicely marinated. Tortillas were fresh and had a light corn flavor. Found out from the owner he gets them fresh daily from Pancho Villa. I made several trips through the line and the carnitas and carne asada wound up being tied for my fav tacos. Rice and chips were good but I didn’t eat much so I’d have more room for tacos. Nephew made an excellent choice choosing Del Mar Taco Company as his caterer. 🙂
I’ve been looking into taco caterers so this post is helpful. Did they use a hot griddle to warm the meats? I’m not clear if they grilled the meat on site or maybe it’s already prepared ahead of time. I like how AYCE tacos will get you to a baby shower 🙂
Are you throwing a party? I watched the guy cook the meats on the griddle and put the meats into the stainless steel tub. I have a weakness for meat. 🙂
