Yelp Elite Event: Ariva Apartments

Place is fancy.  When I was a kid I remember during the summer the when the lawn sprinkler came on it became the AC and the entertainment for maybe a half hour.  

I notice this place has central air and heating, an exercise facility, a club room, and 2 pools.  Bathtub is better than the one I have at home.  Dual pane windows should keep the apartment quiet.  Living on busy streets I can tell a big difference.

Met some residents at the mixer.  They were very nice and enjoyed living here.  From the BMW and Mercedes key fobs laid out on the table and the $1500 studio starting price I’m guessing they had good jobs too…  I imagine it would be nice being in biking distance of my fav eateries on Convoy St and Claremont Mesa Blvd.

Maurizio’s Trattoria Italiana catered the event and I enjoyed the juicy meatballs and sausage sliders.  

At the end trays of puff pastries and chocolate mousse came out and were devoured in minutes.  Puff pastry was delicate and flaky with a sweet cream center.  Chocolate dessert and rich sweet chocolate and a creamy filling which was as decadent tasting as it looked.

Prize drawing at the end was very generous with a bunch of $100 gift cards and pairs of tickets to the Taste of Little Italy which I won.  🙂  Thanks to the people at Ariva Apartments for hosting the fun event and to Brad and Sandra for all the hard work setting up this event and the cool welcome gift!  🙂  

I enjoyed seeing what luxury apartments are like and wished I could have lived in a place like this when I was a kid instead of my run down one in the hood where I had to push a cart to the laundromat every weekend to do laundry.
