Camera Express San Francisco Chinatown

Ever wonder about those camera shops all over Chinatown that seem to stock the same merchandise?  I needed a battery charger for my camera at the last minute.  I was thinking about doing one day shipping on amazon.com.  Should have followed my instincts.  While looking over the battery chargers at Camera Express there didn’t seem to be one that would work with my Fuji battery.  The sales guy says this charger that looks like it would be selling in the dollar store would work and I could return if it didn’t work.  So I try it overnight and my dead battery is still dead. When I try to return it some other sales guy points to the sign that says no returns accepted.  I can exchange it for some other over priced merchandise for a 20% restocking fee.  I declined as American Express has a product guarantee policy so I’ll just go through them.  I ordered a genuine Fuji charger from amazon.com with 2nd day delivery at the same price as that dollar store looking charger and the Fuji charger is working great.

Should have read the reviews on yelp before shopping at this sketchy shop.  I’m gonna do my shopping at amazon.com or newegg.com from now on as they have fair return policies.  I feel a tiny fraction of Red Cloud’s pain.
