Koloa Mill Ice Cream & Coffee

One of the things I love about vacationing in Hawaii is eating Roselani ice cream.  They have been around since 1932 and Hawaii is the only place you will find Roselani ice cream.

I was excited to see Koloa Mill Ice Cream & Coffee had flavors I couldn’t find in the local grocery stores.
I picked guava and Dreamsicle.  Both had rich thick premium ice cream flavor.  Guava had a fruity guava flavor while Dreamsicle had a delicious mix of orange and vanilla flavor.  Little chunks of pineapple are a nice surprise I’ve never seen in Dreamsicle ice cream.  I’ve tried Dreyer’s version of Dreamsicle but the vanilla was lacking the richness and the orange flavor tasted artificial.

Koloa Mill comfy spot to take a break and take in the historical location in Old Koloa Town.  It’s Kauai’s oldest plantation town and the unique architecture of the buildings is quite different from the big city I’m use to.  It’s amazing back in 1835 they opened a sugar mill here and started a town.  Now it’s 2017 and I’m having ice cream in one of the town’s plantation houses.  I wonder what these old wooden walls have seen.
