Inchin’s Bamboo Garden

I visited a few times in the old days when Mandarin Garden was here.  I didn’t like the flavors of the food and stopped visiting.  Inchin’s Bamboo Garden looks nothing like Mandarin Garden.  They did a lovely remodel.

I notice entrees are around $15.

Lamb bulgogi was served sizzling.  Lamb was tender, juicy, and full of flavor.  I loved the scents from the sizzling dish.

Fried ice cream looked like a Hostess Snowball.  Outer shell had a strong egg flavor I didn’t like.  Vanilla ice cream was mostly still very cold and had a rich vanilla flavor I liked a lot.
I took a bite of the mongolian beef and found it tender, juicy, and I liked the sweet flavor.
I took a bite of the shrimp lo mein and didn’t like the overly salty/msg flavor.
Inchin’s is an improvement over Mandarin Garden but I prefer the flavors of the traditional Chinese restaurants on the other side of Mira Mesa Blvd.

  1. Great pictures! We all had such a nice dinner together!

    1. Thanks! It was a fun party!

  2. We ate here for dinner closer to when it first opened. Thought the food was generally good (sizzling platter was a fav) but a little more pricey at $25pp before tax/tip. I would be interested in their lunch special just to see what is offered.

  3. The sizzling platter was the tastiest thing I tried that night. 🙂 I prefer the prices at Hong Kong BBQ.

  4. I remember when this place was Mandarin Garden too!! I had such great family memories here. I don’t visit this strip mall often but will have to now that Sprouts is here too (right?). The re model is beautiful. Agree that the entrees are kinda pricey.

    1. Wow! That’s cool you visited too. My fav spots to eat in the mall are Red Lobster and the Habit. I miss Black Angus.

You should go to Sprouts. It’s my fav Sprouts.
