Saigon 5 is located in the mini food court inside Ranch 99. I shop at Ranch 99 often but I rarely eat in the food court. I was curious as to how the food was as it’s generally quiet throughout the store.
Won ton soup with an extra order of dumplings $10. Broth had a nice flavor.
Won tons and dumplings were a tasty mixture of pork and shrimp.
Dumplings also had mushroom pieces mixed in. It was nice having both. Bbq pork in the bowl was tender and had a sweet flavor from the sauce.
Also included was a pork bone. Pork was extremely tender and had a flavor similar to the soup.
Hawaiian shaved ice was soft and fluffy just like my favorite Hawaiian spots. Mango and lychee syrup tasted like the fruit they were based on but wasn’t distributed evenly so some parts were intensely sweet while others tasted of ice. Great ice but not so great syrup.
Service was speedy and the girl in charge friendly. I enjoyed the won ton soup here and it’s a bit tastier than Sam Woo but you can’t beat Sam Woo’s at $4.25 for the breakfast special. Saigon 5 is a cool spot to eat when you want to pay a bit more and avoid the long line at Sam Woo.
Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! eats here too.

I like the comfy seating area and enjoy the air conditioning. :>)
We will have to go back so you can relax while I get more soup. 🙂
I usually get the egg noodle soup here Soo. The pho and banh mi are terrible.
Thanks for the tip! I added a link to your post.
