I miss the neon lights and the anachronisms which caught my eye while my burger was cooking on the flattop.
Fuddruckers had a good run in Mira Mesa. I remember it opened around the same time as Hometown Buffet. Hometown Buffet has been gone a few years now and replaced by Fung Fung Yuen.
Over the years I’ve tried many of their burgers.
Half pound kobe burger. Burger is juicy and has a rich beef flavor. Bacon gives it an added flavor dimension. My fav burger here! Onion rings have a southern fried batter which has a bit of crunch and excellent flavors.
Bbq burger had a tangy sauce which I liked in small quantities. Beef was juicy and had a nice beef flavor accentuated by just the right amount of salt and pepper. Bacon had a nice savory flavor. Bun had a fresh bread flavor. Good solid burger. Wedge fries had a bit of crunch on the outside, good potato flavor from the inside, and the seasoning was deliciously salty a bit like the Magic Dust from Red Robin. Excellent wedge fries!
Elk burger was lean and had a distinctive gamey flavor. Not juicy.
Vanilla shake was thick and bursting with vanilla flavor.
I miss going to Fuddruckers and eating the delicious kobe burger. I found out they had closed when they sent the dreaded email where they apologized and said to visit one of their remaining locations.
Kirk wrote about Fuddruckers too.

So sad this location closed. Guess you’ll have to go to a different one in the future to get your burger fix.
The Habit across the street has good burgers. 🙂
This location holds dear memories for me 🙁 So sad that it closed. I never thought their burgers were great (considering In n Out down the street) but this location was a staple here.
Did you go when you were a kid? I liked their kobe burger better than In N Out.
