I woke up to the scent of fresh doughnuts when I was a kid. I lived next to the owner of a doughnuts shop. Right next to their house was the doughnuts shop. They were pretty good doughnuts like ones you could get at Windchill’s. I was excited to see Yelp was having an Elite Week event at Sidecar doughnuts as I love doughnuts.
Place was pretty busy as donuts were selling out and the staff was hard at work making fresh doughnuts in the back. I’m glad this place isn’t like my neighborhood doughnuts shop where they just make a huge batch in the morning and stay open till they run out.
At Sidecar the doughnuts are as fresh as Krispy Kreme.
Butter and salt was fluffy with hints of salt and buttery flavor.
Vanilla Ring was fluffy, glazed, and sweet with a hint of vanilla. Very delicious take on a glazed doughnuts.
Saigon Cinnamon Crumb was a bit denser befitting a cake doughnut. Still fluffy but with a crunchy crust and sweet cinnamon flavor. Best cake doughnut I’ve ever had.
Butterscotch Crunch was topped with butterscotch glaze, white chocolate chips and Rice Krispy cereal. Lots of delicious flavors in the topping nicely accented the cake.
Huckleberry was a mix of sweet cake filled and topped with delicious huckleberries. Delicious and my 2nd favorite doughnut.
Maple Bacon was a mix of sweet and salty. While I love the sweet doughnut and the salty bacon I prefer the 2 flavors separately.
Sidecar Donuts is now my favorite doughnut shop. Donuts constantly sell out and replaced by freshly made doughnuts. Most of my favorite donuts from when I was a kid are represented with gourmet ingredients giving them better flavors than I’ve ever tasted. Employees were very nice and efficient. Thanks Danny for organizing this cool Yelp Elite Week Event and Sidecar Doughnuts for the awesome doughnuts!

Love how you can walk around the front display part and watch them make doughnuts. Chai coffee is delicious too.
I loved watching them make them almost as much as I liked eating them. 🙂
Did you try all 6 doughnuts there! I was only able to take a bite of the ones I bought. I like their yeast doughnuts the best as it’s not as dense.
BTW, donuts or doughnuts. How do you usually type it.

I tried the 6 doughnuts documented in my post. I usually prefer yeast donuts but that cinnamon one was awesome!
I tend to type donuts but in this post I went with doughnuts as that’s how Sidecar spells it.
Donut Bar looks great but they are denser then I prefer.
