I like to start my morning by brewing some loose leaf jasmine tea. My Zojirushi water boiler has a timer so I can set it to have my water at the proper temperature when I wake up. Sadly San Diego has hard water so when it was time to clean the water boiler I had to find some citric acid to remove the deposits.
I was getting water from my fridge which had a carbon based filter that improved the taste of tap water.
I decided to conduct experiments with different water sources. Turned out the Glacier machines in front of grocery stores filtered the water enough that I no longer had a water deposit problem. I have noticed they raised the price on most machines to 40 cents per gallon. Getting close to half the price of bottled water.
After lunch one day I noticed a Watermill Express machine outside Noble Chef. It was only 25 cents a gallon. The next time I visited Noble Chef I filled up a 5 gallon bottle. Water tasted clean, pure, and devoid of any objectionable flavors. Tasted like Glacier.
Checking their website it seems their purification process is similar to Glacier. I haven’t seen any buildup of deposits in my Zojirushi. Watermill Express is my new go to for filtered water.
