I love going on road trips and trying local eateries. This time I stopped in Yuma to try El Senor Taco de Tijuana Mexico.
Inside it was clean and the staff friendly.
I ordered a few different tacos at the counter and they were delivered to the table I picked.
First up were 2 carne asada tacos on a corn tortilla. Beef was tender and had a nice flavor from the marinade and grilling over an open flame. I liked the mild corn flavor of the tortilla which enhanced the flavor of the beef. Very tasty taco.
Next I tried the adobada taco. Very strong flavor from how they prepared the pork on the spit. I liked how the corn tortilla cut the spiciness a bit and added a bit of corn flavor. Pork was very tender and juicy. Among my favorite adobada tacos.
I was still a bit hungry so I lined up to order a adobada taco with the flour tortilla. I enjoyed the mild flour tortilla flavor but prefer the corn tortilla. Pork was delicious just like the other adobada taco.
After 4 tacos I was full. Maggie couldn’t finish her carne asada fries so I helped a little. Same delicious carne asada as in my taco paired with fries. The fries aren’t the typical crunchy ones but they had a delicious potato flavor with unique seasoning which I really enjoyed. It’s $10 and enough food for 2.5 people.
I met the owner the second time in line. He was extremely nice. He was curious why I only ordered 1 taco and I told him I was almost full from the first 3 tacos so he threw it in on the house for braving the lunch line again. 🙂
I enjoyed everything I tried here. Next time I’m driving through town I think I’ll stop by and try the carne asada fries or adobada fries.
