I close my eyes and listen to the sound of the rain. There are different notes depending upon whether rain hits leaves, the ground, the stream, or my umbrella. Together the sounds form a beautiful symphony. I open my eyes and watch rain washing clean the woods. Muir Woods has never appeared so shiny and clean.
Lovely droplets fall from the heavens while some drop from the top of the redwoods.
The stream powered by the rain is incredibly swift. I visited last fall and there was barely a trickle.
There is the scent of rain mingling with the scent of the ancient redwoods. I breath deep. So clean and refreshing. I will always treasure these moments walking these lovely woods. Next time I’ll bring a bigger umbrella and my water resistant shoes so I can stay longer.

The rain was very lovely and super cold, brrr! I noticed less people visit when it’s raining. It was nice to enjoy the rain, a hot cup of chili and of course the gift shop.
I prefer the rain and the cold to a hot and dry visit. I’m thinking of getting a weather resistant lens so I can shoot in the rain with the Fuji camera.
The rain must bring a nice clear and refreshing vibe. You can tell through the pictures. One of a kind experience!
I was lucky! Hopefully I will get lucky again next time I visit.
