My goal in visiting the chocolate factory and cactus garden was just to enjoy the many cacti varieties and get the inside scoop on chocolate making. I really did not plan to buy a bunch of chocolate or souvenirs. So I’d guess you’d say I’m a bad tourist. But hey you do get free samples of chocolate!
The cactus garden did not disappoint and I noticed they already had their Christmas display lights up. I’m sure it’s pretty at night but hey I wanted to really see the plant varieties, trees and bee’s of course. Kinda hard to at night. They have over 300 species of plants and are the largest botanical cactus garden in Nevada. I spent a large part of my day here.
The self guided factory tour was fun and informative. Couldn’t help but wonder if the people working their ever get used to all the people walking by and watching them work. The glass partition had information written on it about what you were looking at. Super hard to get a picture of it since the lettering was in white. Also a few screen displays imparted more important chocolate information. For instance, did you know that simply tasting a piece of chocolate has a whole procedure? Pretty cool I think.
The gift shop was nice to walk through, enjoy all the displays and smell that wonderful chocolate aroma that permeates the whole building.
They offer Premium chocolate tasting for all ages! (price varies from $6. Up to $13. Per person) Plus Premium chocolate and wine tasting! 21 years and older of course for a mere $25. per person. They pair the wine with the chocolate and you earn your honorary chocolatier certificate! This does sound fun!

Wow! Wish I had gone to the chocolate factory. Looks delicious. The botanical garden was nice and relaxing.
The samples were really good. It was a nice day.
Haha, thanks for the idea! We’ll be not very far from the place in January))) This is cool! Will be good for my boys.
It is fun to go! Hopefully you will eat more chocolate than I did!
