Chalet Restaurant & Bar

I walked inside Chalet Restaurant & Bar and the place looks like a seafood restaurant.

I noticed one of the specials of the day was grilled mahi mahi. I love fried mahi mahi so I gave it a try.

Bread came out first. Aroma indicated it was fresh out of the oven. Delicious mild flavor reminded me of Parkerhouse rolls.

Chicken tortilla soup had a mix of delicious flavors. Loved the tender chicken, crunchy tortilla strings, and the broth. Beer batter onion rings had a nice crunch and delicious onion flavor.

Mahi mahi had a creamy pineapple sauce which had a mild pineapple flavor. I did have to send the fish back for more cooking as the center was not fulled cooked. I’m guessing the fish hadn’t been fully defrosted before cooking. Overall this dish was ok. Cooking over the gas grill didn’t give the mahi mahi much flavor. I’d like the mahi mahi better if it was grilled over hickory wood with seasoned olive oil.
