Cheers to another perfect meal at Argyle! It should go without saying this is the place to celebrate any occasion or just to impress your loved ones.
We decided on Argyle for our early Valentines Day dinner. Definitely wanted another popover! This visit was a bit before the sun went down (it was overcast) so we got to see the beautiful golf course and Batiquitos Lagoon, very nice.
Our conscientious server Matt offered to take our picture outside and mentioned he had some gorgeous pictures he’s taken of this view over the years.
For my drink I ordered the Tea Time cocktail. It includes tea infused vodka, lemonade and mint. This is fast becoming my new favorite drink. Happy hour specials are from Tuesday thru Sunday 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lounge.
The seafood menu looked inviting so the Ora King Salmon with a blue cheese crust was my choice. The delicate seasoned crust paired with the blue cheese sauce really took this expertly cooked salmon to another level. There are a variety of sauces, crusts and rubs to choose from.
The creamy spinach with gruyere cheese and mascarpone could have just been a dish all by itself. Add some of their famous bacon and Wa-la! Creamy, delicious nirvana achieved!
The lobster butternut bisque shined with bright yellow creamy virtue. I finished all of it!
Just not enough room for dessert….was my only regret.

Light rain was falling as we drove up to Argyle Steakhouse. I made reservations at opening time so I could view the grounds. On our previous visit the area was shrouded in darkness.
This time I saw the vivid green golf course and it’s water features. Further out I noticed the wind creating wave patterns on Batiquitos Lagoon.
Off into the distance mountains were visible in the background. There are tables and chairs outside to enjoy a meal and the relaxing scenery.
Meal started with fresh out of the oven popovers. Buttery aroma.
Croissant like textures and a buttery flavor define this unique treat. The bakery chef could open up a wonderful bakery.
Before our entrees arrived we were presented with our choice of cutlery. I chose the Porshe designed steak knife which cut through my 18oz bone in Prime ribeye steak nicely.
Aroma of lightly char’d beef filled the air. Beef was tender and bursting with flavors. Char, salt + pepper combined to make for an awesome tasting steak.
To go with my steak I also had 2 pieces of pork belly. Pork was extremely tender with a band of juicy fat throughout. Flavors were incredible. Argyle Steakhouse is my favorite spot for pork belly.
Hostess and wait staff were friendly and very attentive. Very nice Chef Hiroko came out and checked to see if our meal was satisfactory. I let her know each dish was amazing and full of flavor.
View was lovely and relaxing. The attention to detail here is amazing and made for a very memorable early Valentines Day dinner.
