Scent of fried potato hits hard. Urge to bite and taste the juicy meat is irresistible.
Beef potato balls were crunchy and had delicious potato and beef flavor. Ground beef was nicely seasoned. Best potato balls I’ve found in San Diego. I prefer the flavor of Porto’s seasoned beef but the drive here and the line is much shorter.
Beef pastry. Love the flaky pastry. Didn’t like the flavor of the beef.
Oxtail was melt in your mouth tender served in a bowl like a beef stew. Very flavorful tomato based stew/sauce.
Roast pork was tender and well seasoned with a hint of smoke.
Went well with the rice and beans.
Pineapple cake had pineapple flavor and sweetness. Hint of lemon from the glaze on top.
Rotisserie chicken was tender, moist, and had delicious flavor. I bit like El Pollo Loco but with different flavors.
Mango drink from Jamaica was thick like nectar and full of delicious mango flavor.
There is much to like on the menu here and the owner is very nice and helpful informing us about the various dishes and providing speedy service. My favorite dishes so far are the potato balls, oxtail, and rotisserie chicken.
Next time I visit I think I’ll try the ropa vieja.

Love their food! The roast pork and chicken are delicious! Especially with the yummy plantains.
They do have tasty food!
One of my favorite places as well. Their guava filled pastries are addictive.

You eat at the best spots!
