Chicago Fire Grill

Pita bread scent filled the car.  Owner George must have put it on the grill along with the steak.  I ordered a steak pita and it was ready after about 10 minutes.  Big juicy pieces of steak were overflowing the pita bread.  I noticed char marks from the grill.  Pita was fluffy and delicious.  Loved the mix of flavors from the fresh pita, the juicy tomatoes, and steak.

Fries were very thin and very crunchy.  I enjoyed the potato flavor.

2nd visit I ordered a bacon burger with just lettuce and tomato.  Big beef patty was juicy and bursting with flavor.  Bacon had a rich savory flavor.  Lettuce was crispy while the tomato was fresh and juicy.  Great tasting burger.  I can’t eat another hockey puck like burger from Burger King again.  Fries had a tasty fried potato flavor.

I’m glad Chicago Fire Grill has stayed open during the apocalypse.

Owner George is quite friendly and talkative.

Booze

  1. The gyro looks delicious!

    1. The gyro is my fav thing to eat there!

  2. The steak sandwich looks delicious. Do they make their own pita breads? The bacon looked a bit limp on the burger – and did you start going protein-style (bun-less) with your burgers !

    1. I’ll have to ask George if they make their own pita bread. I do go bun-less once in awhile. Doing takeout everything starts to get mushy so sometimes I don’t eat the bun when too mushy.

  3. Half the fun of visiting Chicago Fire Grill is the owner George….he is quite a character.

    1. George is the most interesting owner I’ve met.
