Palomar Mountain was one of my fav spots to play in the snow. It was magical grabbing handfuls of cold, fluffy, snow and creating snowballs or snowmen. It has been a long time since I’ve been to the mountain as it doesn’t snow much now compared to when I was a kid.
My first experience with Palomar Mountain Spring Water was in 2018 at the Rose Parade Float viewing. They had a water truck parked along the Float route and gave away water. Water was cool and had a clean refreshing flavor. I liked it a lot but didn’t want to commit to delivery service.
Then I found out you could bring your own bottles and fill up at their bottling plant. I found a reason to drive up to Escondido and filled up a bunch of bottles.
Price was quite reasonable at 75 cents a gallon.
One time I was filling my bottles I was able to watch as a truck unloaded it’s water after a run to Palomar Mountain.
The last few years Palomar Mountain Spring Water has been my favorite still water and I find places to eat along the way to make a fun road trip out of my water runs.
Reminds me of the old days up on Palomar Mountain.
