Sadly they remain closed and have no public reopening date set at this time. Just a hopeful anticipation for spring 2021.

It was difficult to get a picture of the sea turtle in the background, did not want to come close that day.

Such a happy tortoise on his walk!
Yummy lettuce!

American Kestrel
American Kestrel, show and tell.

We visited last October 2019 and as usual I took way too many pictures. It’s easy to see how happy and well cared for all the animals are here. We spent many hours viewing the friendly sea turtles, gorgeous birds of prey, numerous wildlife birds, tortoise, toad, tropical fish and jelly fish on this visit. During the day they do numerous educational viewings. The tortoise got to go for a walk much to my delight. The American Kestrel had a meet and greet in their auditorium. Plus Sapphire (Loggerhead sea turtle) posed for a few dozen pictures.

Overall a wonderful day in the neighborhood. I look forward to their reopening.

Sapphire, love how it looks like she’s outside with the reflection.

Western toad, why I think she’s looking at me.

The tank is circular, so the reflections are unique.

  1. You got some great photos especially of the turtles! We will have to visit again next year.

  2. Thanks I think they posed for me. Yes that will be nice when they reopen to the public. You can get a private tour for 2 hours up to ten people in your family. Cheaper for members at $150. and regular price $250.
