I remember the STP commercials when I was a kid. I was intrigued when I saw STP on my way to get comic books. Seems STP makes burgers and bbq. I made a note to stop by and try this place.
Inside STP I see the car theme everywhere.
Menu items are named after car terminology. I ordered the Dualie.
One beef patty with slices of brisket. They use good quality beef here as I loved the fresh beef flavor and the light char. Brisket was tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Great tasting burger and very filling. Fries were crispy and had a nice potato flavor.
2nd visit. I tried the Bagger Brisket. Smoky brisket. Sweet sauce. Beef was tender and moist with juicy fat layer. Delicious.
This visit I was joined by Lisa, Liang, and Maggie who enjoyed their meals as well.
3rd visit. I tried the Roller Rocker Ribs. Full rack was $34. I was only able to eat half as they gave me alot of fries to go with the ribs. Fries were crispy and had a nice potato flavor. Ribs were extremely tender and had been smoked with a delicious dry rub that had a savory flavor and a tiny spicy kick. Sauce added a sweet flavor.
I loved everything I tried here. STP serves up some great tasting food and the service was friendly and fast. Very cool decor.

They do have a great location as you can see it driving by on Clairemont Mesa and it’s close to the 805 on ramp. My firebird chicken sandwich was delicious!
