Driving into the parking lot I noticed some lovely murals.

Mrs. White’s is located in an interesting looking building.

Inside memories of the past line the walls.
Elizabeth White opened the cafe October 1964.

I would have enjoyed eating inside in better times.
I was hoping to try the oxtail but sadly they were not making it the week I visited.
I tried the catfish instead. Crunchy corn meal batter added a delicious salty fried flavor to the tender catfish. Great tasting dish.
I like the atmosphere in Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Cafe. Hope they have oxtail next time I’m in town.

That’s great you found catfish you like!
It was great!
Wow no fried chicken?
I tried to order some but they were out. 🙁
