There have been many restaurants here. My favorite was BBQ Chicken which closed around 2013. They fried their chicken in olive oil and was one of my fav Korean fried chicken spots. There is one left in CA https://bbdotqchicken.com/
I had high hopes for El Gordo Mexican Food as Tacos El Gordo is one of my fav spots for tacos.
Beef taco had a crunchy fried corn tortilla shell. Beef didn’t taste marinated and had minimal flavor. Overall flavor was mostly of fried tortilla. I wouldn’t get this taco again.
Adobado taco came on 2 corn tortillas. Very mild flavor and a little on the dry side. Also this being a soft taco the tortillas were not very soft but kinda stiff and chewy rather than the melt in your mouth lard based tortillas a few places in town serve. Meat was well seasoned and had a bit of a bitter bite to it. I wouldn’t get this taco again either.
The last taco I tried was the carne asada one. It came on 2 corn tortillas like the adobada taco. Beef was nicely seasoned with a little bit of sweetness. I don’t like the tortillas but I think I’d enjoy the carne asada with some fries.
Sadly El Gordo Mexican Food tacos are not like Tacos El Gordo tacos..

Too bad they don’t pay more attention to seasoning and the state of their tortilla’s. At least the carne asada was good.
It appears some people like them as there were some people there for lunch.
