When I was a kid I made sandwiches with white bread made by Weber’s. I alternated between ham or peanut butter and jelly. They were good when the bread was fresh from the store.
I was excited to see a Yelp event at Ike’s Love and Sandwiches.
I ordered a roast beef, turkey, and bacon on crunch bread. Ike’s calls this sandwich a Junior Seau. Bread had a fresh baked aroma with heavenly flavor a bit like French bread with a hint of sweetness. Meats all had fresh savory flavors. Lettuce and tomato added earthy flavors and some moisture. Loved the mix of flavors from Ike’s sandwich. Wish Ike’s was around when I was a kid. The sandwich’s I made weren’t that good at the end of the week when I got to the last of the ham and the bread lost it’s freshness.
I also ordered a side of fried zucchini. Batter was crunchy and had a light beer flavor. Lots of zucchini flavor. Very good tasting fried zucchini.
Young lady at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. I could feel the love. Thanks to Ike’s and Yelp CM Brad for inviting us out for love and a great sandwich.

They do have quite the variety of names picked out for their sandwiches! Can’t wait to go back and try out another sandwich!
I wanna try a steak sandwich next time.
