Back in the old days the sky was filled with hot air balloon as the sun was setting. We went up once. The pickup spot was a few miles away at the Vons parking lot. It was an amazing adventure drifting among the clouds. We ate at Double Happiness afterwards.
Pork pan fried noodles featured noodles that were very crunchy. Everything was coated in a savory brown sauce. Loved the flavor of the tender bbq pork and brown sauce. Fancy mushroom pieces were full of flavor. Double Happiness is one of my favorite spots to eat pan fried noodles.
House fried rice had a mix of bbq pork and shrimp. Nice mild flavors from the tender pork and shrimp.
Ginger lobster had a delicious flavor from the ginger sauce. Nice fresh tender lobster. $15.99 for 2 lobster tails made for a large appetizer,
Bbq pork lo mein had tender pork that was full of delicious 5 spice powder based flavor. Loved the sauce they cooked the noodles with.
Pork egg rolls had a crunchy shell with a delicious cabbage and pork filling.
Bbq pork sparerib appetizer had tender pork with a nice 5 spice powder based flavor.
Fried chicken wings were crunchy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. Pretty good flavor. Golden Chopsticks is my fav spot for traditional salt and pepper chicken wings.
Won ton soup. Very mild flavor from the small won tons. I would like to see more pork that has been marinated. Rendevous up the road has a great tasting Hong Kong style won ton soup.
Bbq pork fried rice had a nice smoky flavor from the wok. Like the bean sprouts which added an earthy flavor to the bbq pork and egg flavors. Great tasting fried rice.
Staff was very nice each visit. Lots of free parking in the private lot. Dining here brought me happiness.
Sadly it appears Chin’s has bought the business. I will miss Double Happiness. We had many delicious meals here.

Seems like a long time since I’ve eaten here! That’s great you mentioned our hot air balloon ride, that was breathtaking. I too am sad to see them go, as they had many dishes I enjoyed.
This was Chef Zhu wasn’t it Soo?
Yes in the old days. Recently they dropped Chef Zhu from the website and the signage.
They have not had in person dining in over a year. I brought you takeout a few times.
The name fits – what an eclectic menu and such delicious-looking food. I hope the new ownership will continue the tasty journey.
I have visited other Chin’s. They are cleaner and fancy looking but I prefer the food at Double Happiness.
