Urban Eats Kitchen & Tap

Lately I’ve been eating at places where I’m still hungry after eating an entree.

So when I visited Urban Eats Kitchen & Tap for lunch and noticed they had fish and chips as an appetizer I also ordered chicken wings.

6 chicken wings were large and would have been a lunch by themselves.  Batter was extremely crunchy.  Chicken was moist and tender.  I ordered them original style and flavor was mild.  Wish they had a salt and pepper option as I would have liked a bit more seasoning.

For the fish and chips I substituted onion rings for the fries.  The tempura batter on the rings was slightly crunchy.  Flavor was mostly fried onion.  A bit like Mr Fish and chips version.  Next time I’ll try the fries.  They fry up swai here which had a nice sweet flavor.  Batter was crunchy.  Best fried swai I have had and my favorite item on the menu so far.
2nd visit I ordered the beef short ribs.  Nice waitress brought out a big plate of sizzling beef.  I loved the flavor of beef with the sweet sauce glazed on top.  Beef was sizzling hot, tender, and juicy.  I think this is the biggest plate of short ribs I’ve ever had and it was only $17.99.
Rice was moist and had a nice mild flavor.  Just the way I like it.
Soda water was refreshing and complimentary.

So far the fried swai and the beef short ribs are my fav dishes here.  Service was friendly and fast.

  1. That’s good you found food to fill you up! Turkey burger and corn cheese fries sound yummy.

    1. You should give that turkey burger a try.

  2. Sounds like the real deal – great quality, generous portions, and fair prices. I think I would enjoy the beef short ribs, easily enough food for about 4 lunches for me!

    1. I plan on trying more of their dishes.
