I followed the scent of bbq to Louisiana Charlie’s. There is a smoker in front full of mesquite wood.
I ordered the fried catfish with cajun fries. Fries were seasoned very well and I loved the flavor. Fries were nice and crispy with lots of potato flavor. Catfish was battered with corn meal and was crunchy on the outside and tender inside. Loved the mix of catfish flavor and salty fried batter.
2nd visit I tried the baby back ribs. Very tender and a tasty smoky flavor from the mesquite. Sauce added a sweet flavor. Very good tasting ribs.
Fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. Very tasty.
Service was friendly and speedy. So far the fried catfish is my fav menu item. Next time I want to try the fried chicken wings. Lovely views of the bay just around the corner.

Nice option in this part of town, seems like solid food at a decent price point considering the portion size.
I loved the food. Parking is tricky on weekends.
