On arrival I was greeted by very friendly employees. We went for the picnic pack as there was a lot of meats to try.
Sausage had a nice snap and was juicy and full of flavor. One of my favorite meats.
Brisket was lean and the dry rub had a nice peppery flavor.
Pulled pork was tender and juicy. Light smoky flavor made very tasty with the addition of a bit of sweet sauce.
Chicken was tender and juicy with a light smoky flavor.
They have some different sauces here with my favorite being the sweet sauce. Employees told me they smoked their meats with a mix of hickory and pecan wood.
Place has a huge dining room in the back.
One thing that made me very happy here was the drink selection.
They have Hires Root Beer which was my favorite drink when I was a kid.
Hires has a sweet root beer flavor and lots of foam which I love.
