Navajo Spirit Tours

Will Cowboy led us on a journey into Monument Valley.  Maggie booked a sunset tour and we set off at 4:30pm.  His Suburban performed well on the bumpy unpaved roads and trails.

We stopped a lot so I could take pictures of the sights.

We were introduced to a local weaver Effie Holiday. Sadly her rugs were close to $2k thus a bit out of my price range.  I took some photos of her wondrous works.

When we stopped to take photos Cowboy Will took some awesome panoramic photos of us.  He also taught Maggie how to take her own panoramic photos.
I have been wanting to see Monument Valley in person since I acquired a signed photo of Monument Valley from Phel Steinmetz.  He offered me any photo I wanted in return for setting up his computer and showing him how to use it.  Ever since it has been hanging in my bedroom.
There is a fry bread stand near the entrance that closes around 5pm so stop there first if you want some fry bread.

At the end of the evening we watched as the West Mitten Butte’s shadow climbed up the side of East Mitten Butte.  This happens twice a year.  In late March and mid-September.

We saw some amazing sights you wouldn’t see driving through Monument Valley on your own and I wouldn’t drive my car on the unpaved road.  Amazing tour hosted by Will Cowboy of Navajo Spirit Tours.
Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! has taken a Navajo tour of Monument Valley too.
