I love visiting Old Town except on weekends when parking is challenging. Visiting on a weekday at 11am it was like a ghost town. I found Tuetano Taqueria inside the Urban Market Food Hall. I ordered a regular birrea taco and a birrea taco on a homemade corn tortilla.
The regular birrea taco came with a crunchy corn taco which I loved the corn flavor and the crunchy texture. It was stuffed with tender and juicy birrea. Loved the flavor of the birrea.
Homemade corn tortilla was fluffy and had a mild corn flavor. Very tasty but I prefer the flavor and texture of the crunchy corn tortilla. Like the regular birrea taco this one had an excellent meat to tortilla ratio.
These tacos were larger than street tacos but not by alot. 2 make a good lunch but I’d get 3 for dinner. Staff was nice and efficient. Great place to get birrea tacos.
Hurry in and visit as I read they are moving to Chula Vista. Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! has visited too.
