Driving down Garnet Ave I often see a new place to eat. I noticed The Food Box and gave them a try.
I ordered a burger with bacon, tomato, and beef. There are lots of fancier options here. There was a nice char on the beef. Bacon was crunchy and had a salty flavor. Tomato was fresh and juicy. Solid burger and good size for lunch. If I was hungrier I’d add pork.
2nd visit I tried the Lewis which featured a patty with beef brisket and marinated pork.
Patty had lots of flavor. The onion ring added some fried onion flavor. Bacon was crunchy and added a smoky and salty flavor. Spinach and tomato added some moisture and freshness. Very good tasting burger.
Onion rings had an amazingly thin and crunchy batter. Delicious fried onion flavor.
Staff was very nice. I wouldn’t eat inside when they first open. Both times it smelled like they disinfected the floors right before opening time.

The chicken burgers sound good! That’s great you found another burger place you like.
It’s a good place to visit after the cleaning fumes air out.
The burgers look and sound formidable! I also love the brick facade on the location – very midwest!
It’s a cool spot and they keep very clean.
