We visited Abbey’s Real Texas BBQ for our team lunch. Place was very busy and there was a long wait for food unless you ordered a burger.
I ordered a rack of ribs which was $36. I miss the old days when you could get a rack of ribs for under $30.
Ribs were hot out of the warming machine.
Tender and juicy from the small amount of fat. Loved the flavor from the peppercorn based dry rub and the smoking process. These were great tasting baby back ribs. The bbq sauce had a sharp vinegar flavor and I didn’t use it.
Staff was nice.

The ribs look delicious!
They taste as good as they look!
That’s cool that your group does monthly lunches. Our department does quarterly picnics and the food gets catered – Phil’s, Charminar, Aladdin, etc. They’re usually by the bay somewhere so it’s windy and we have to hold our plates down to keep them from flying away. Afterwards I have to participate in games like the frisbee toss, cornhole, and something called flickin’ chicken. I’d rather go to a restaurant periodically. 😀
I’d swap you! Frisbee toss and cornhole with free food sound good. We gotta pay for our own lunch.
