When I go to or through Los Angeles Golden Dragon is a stop I like to make. After my parents and brother moved from China to San Diego there were no places in San Diego to get dim sum. Fortunately the drive to Los Angeles wasn’t bad. Golden Dragon was one of their favorite spots to get dim sum. Much has changed since our first visit in the 1970’s but the Golden Dragon is still here.
Siu mai had a mild flavored won ton wrapper and a mix of pork and shrimp as the filling. Loved the flavors.
Baked bbq pork bun had a sweet honey glaze on top and inside was delicious bbq pork filling. Very good.
Egg roll was crunchy on the outside and the filling full of veggies. Good.
Bbq pork pan fried noodles had crunchy egg noodles and I loved the egg based flavor. Bbq pork was tender and full of 5 spice powder based flavor. Bok choy was fresh and crisp with an earthy flavor. Mushrooms had a nice flavor. The brown sauce that covered the noodles had a delicious flavor. This is one of my favorite bbq pan fried noodle dishes.
Chinatown has changed alot since I visited with my parents but I’m glad the Golden Dragon is still here.

Yes. It’s one of my favorite places to eat in LA.
We never knew where to stop in Chinatown, so end up at Philippes or the booths across the parking lot or around the corner from LAX-C. Thanks for this great recommendation!
You are welcome! We like Philippes too!
