This month’s team lunch was at Heritage Bbq. I was interested in trying Heritage Bbq as the Orange County restaurant was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2023. Chef/Owner Daniel Castillo was inspired by Central Texas Bbq and is using California white oak to smoke his meats.
Good size parking lot with good size spaces. Inside it was very clean and modern with lots of room for big parties. I was happy to see you could order either ala carte or get a combo.
Beef brisket was tender and juicy with a good amount of fat to insure the meat didn’t dry out. Bark had a delicious smoky and peppery flavor. Great tasting brisket.
Pork ribs were tender and juicy. Loved the smoky, peppery, and sweet flavors from the dry rub.
Service was friendly and efficient. Love the flavors of the bbq.
