Smokehouse 41

We were staying at Bass Lake to visit Yosemite and I noticed there was bbq in nearby Oakhurst.

Smoker was smoking and filled the parking lot with the scent of native California Oak wood.

I was hoping to get a Brontosaurus beef rib but was told it’s only available on weekends in the summer.  There was a choice of a half rack for $20 or a full rack of ribs for $31.  I opted for the full rack as I don’t mind having leftover ribs.

Rib was tender and juicy.  Lots of smoky flavor from being smoked with native California Oak wood.

Loved the dry rub which had lots of peppery flavor with a bit of sweetness from the brown sugar.  Great tasting ribs.

Staff was friendly and answered all my questions.  Next time I’m in town I’ll have to try the brisket or tri-tip.
