Market on 8th is pretty popular. I showed up a quarter to 11am and the closest parking spot was a block away. I visited a bunch of times when this food hall opened up. All those places are gone now. I took a look around at the shiny new businesses.
Carnitas Quiroga II won my business as the manager was sampling carnitas tacos.
Carnitas taco featured tender and juicy carnitas. Loved the flavor of the carnitas. Tortilla had a fresh and light flavor.
Birrea taco featured tender and juicy beef. I enjoyed the flavor of the beef. Double flour tortilla had a very light flavor. Well balanced taco with a very good beef to tortilla ratio.
Adobada taco had seasoned pork which was tender had a hint of sweetness plus little pineapple bits to add another sweet flavor. Very good adobada taco. My favorite adobada taco remains Tacos El Gordo. I love their adobada which taste a bit like char sui.
Horchata was sweet with a nice cinnamon flavor.
Service was very good. Carnitas Quiroga II has some tasty tacos. Next time I might get a pound of carnitas to go as it is my favorite meat here. A bonus is Niederfrank’s Ice Cream is on the walk back to the car. I love getting half gallons to go.

The taco’s look yummy. Did not know you liked guacamole…
I don’t. I got some napkins and removed the guacamole.
