Bay Park Fish Company is a nice looking place. I liked the nautical decor.
Swordfish was flaky with a fresh tasty swordfish flavor. I picked the olive oil preparation which was ok.
Seasonal veggies had a few kinds of squash. There were a bunch of little pieces of garlic giving the veggies a ton of garlic flavor. I don’t like garlic so I wouldn’t get the veggies again.
Rice was moist and had a mild flavor. Would pair nicely with the blackened fish by mellowing out the spices.
2nd visit I tried the halibut fish and chips. Fries were crunchy. The halibut dried out from being overcooked. Panko batter gave a crunchy texture and mild flavor to the halibut.
Halibut was dry and did not have much flavor. Didn’t taste like the fish and batter was seasoned. I mentioned the dry halibut to the waitress and was told the fried cod is not as dry. I would not order this dish again. I had some great tasting fried halibut at Point Loma Seafood. I better go there next time I want fish and chips.
Staff seemed to be just going through the expected motions like the waitress that asked how my fish was. Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! has visited too.

Well heck that sounds like a terrible experience…
There are better places for seafood like Point Loma Seafood.
The only thing I really get there is the Smoked Fish Soo. Hardly ever visit even though it’s in my neighborhood.
That’s good the smoked fish is good.
