Ethel M. Chocolates & Cactus Garden / 2 Cactus Garden Dr. Henderson, Nevada. 89014
My goal in visiting the chocolate factory and cactus garden was just to enjoy the many cacti varieties and get the inside scoop on chocolate making. I really did not plan to buy a bunch of chocolate or souvenirs. So I’d guess you’d say I’m a bad tourist. But hey you do get free samples […]
Omelette with mango salsa / Maggie’s Creations
This is just one of my creations I came up with while shopping. I really love eggs so I’m always looking for a new way to make them. Unfortunately they don’t like me back so I can’t eat them as much as I’d like to. So when I do it’s a special indulgence.
Lion Habitat Ranch / 382 Bruner Ave. Henderson, Nevada 89044
So I found this place looking for something to do while I was in Las Vegas. I’ve wondered what happened to the MGM lions for some time now since they no longer have their exhibit. I was super excited to find they all retired to the Lion Habitat Ranch! And I do just love lions […]

Sushi Bento / 82280 Highway 111 Indio, CA 92201
This place may be small but it is mighty. When your food is served be prepared to receive a visual work of art. Colors, shapes, textures and taste are sure to amaze. We did not want to leave and I was disappointed I could not finish my plate since it was too long of a […]
Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood / 658 5th Avenue San Diego, CA 92101
This is one of our rare joint posts. First portion written by myself, Maggie. We came here for Restaurant week anticipating a great meal. Not only was the meal remarkable, I found a new entree I’d like to order again. As always I admired Greystone’s gorgeous interior decoration as we climbed the stairs leading to […]
