I love going on road trips and trying local eateries. This time I stopped in Yuma to try El Senor Taco de Tijuana Mexico. Inside it was clean and the staff friendly.

Bahama Bucks – S Signal Butte Rd.
My elementary school years I experimented with many different root beers. My favorite was Hires Root Beer. In my college years Hires disappeared from California. I could get it for a few more years in Yuma then it disappeared from Arizona as well.

Los Taquitos Arcadia
Los Taquitos Arcadia has modernist look a bit like Chipolte. From the name I was expecting an old hole in the wall taco shop.

Bobby-Q-BBQ – Biltmore
Bobby-Q-BBQ has quite the dinner crowd. Dining area was full so I sat next to the bar. It was dark like a fancy steakhouse.

Chester’s Chicken – Quartzsite, AZ
I was admiring the cactus and sand dunes as we were driving through Arizona towards the Grand Canyon. Amazing how big cactus could get in the dry desert. There were small towns and rest stops that broke up the desert landscape. I was excited to see a Chester’s Fried Chicken sign. I’m a huge fan […]
Golden Dragon – Flagstaff, Arizona
There was a good amount of snow in the mountains. Not enough for me to go sledding but I did enjoy grabbing handfuls of the fluffy and icy snow and made some snowballs. I thoroughly enjoyed our white Christmas. After our snow day Maggie’s son led us to Golden Dragon. I loved Golden Dragon […]
Lotus Garden
Apache Junction is where the Apache Trail begins and ends. Apache Indians used this trail to travel through the Superstition Mountains. Maggie’s son took us out for lunch at Lotus Garden in a quiet strip mall.
