I love North Park with it’s cute Craftsman houses. I lived here from kindergarten through 3rd grade. My mom took my walking throughout the neighborhood. There were many cool local shops. A few blocks down 30th ST was a fabric store my mom would buy fabrics to sew shirts for me. Around where Solomon Bagels […]

Corner Bakery

The UTC Corner Bakery is an interesting location. Originally Sears occupied the entire building. Then Corner Bakery burrowed out a corner of Sears and came into existence. The most interesting part is now Sears has closed but Corner Bakery is doing great. I have eaten here a bunch of times.
Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery

I’ve been walking to a different Solvang bakery each morning. The walk to Olsen’s was the longest but worth it.
Yelp Elite Week @ Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee

I woke up to the scent of fresh doughnuts when I was a kid. I lived next to the owner of a doughnuts shop. Right next to their house was the doughnuts shop. They were pretty good doughnuts like ones you could get at Windchill’s. I was excited to see Yelp was having an Elite […]

The Donut Palace – El Centro

When I was a kid we drove through Escondido to get to the Wild Animal Park. Out the car window fruits and veggies grew in […]
Fig Tree Cafe

Finally made it here for an early lunch. Been wanting to try this place out for some time now. The only drawback is limited seating space. So I’d recommend getting here early for breakfast as the line starts to form shortly after opening at 8:00 A.M. Parking is at a premium in this neighborhood […]
