I wake up each day to emails showing me the newest and shiniest things I need to buy. Shake Shack sent me an email about their holiday shakes:
Burgers
International Smoke
International Smoke is dedicated to cooking with fire and smoke. I breathe deep the scent of smoke as I walked towards the bar.
Yelp Turns 15 @ One Paseo
I was excited to attend Yelp’s 15th birthday party. Looks like lots of other Yelpers were too as the parking lot was full. Luckily there was free valet parking. Nice. I watched so the valet guys ran back from the hidden parking lot far far away.
Jack In the Box – Miramar Road
I remember the first time I visited Jack in the Box. There was a cute Jack in the Box as the sign and the corporate logo. Nice cashier gave me a balloon and I ordered my first hot apple turnover. Crust was crunchy and there was a sweet apple filling. One of the best desserts I’ve ever […]
Great Maple – UTC
When I first moved to the area there was a Chinese restaurant next to this spot. It was kinda dark in there as the only sunlight that made it inside was from the front door and the window next to it. It closed before they demolished that part of the mall to create Great Maple […]
The Friendly + Chris’ Ono Grinds Island Grill
I noticed The Friendly on Yelp. People thought the cheeseburger here was the best in town so I thought I’d give it a try. There was a short line at lunch time. When it was my turn I asked for the burger plain.
Cafe 21 – University Heights
Many times I have tried the lemonade from soda fountains. I never liked the Coke or Pepsi version. They don’t taste like real lemon juice and there is no lemon pulp. Cafe 21’s take on lemonade taste fresh squeezed. They have down the lemon flavor and the bits of lemon pulp. There is a little […]
Fuddruckers – Mira Mesa
I miss the neon lights and the anachronisms which caught my eye while my burger was cooking on the flattop.
