When I was a kid, businesses painted their windows with cool decorations for various holidays which brought a smile to my face. Now it’s something I rarely see. I was happy to see The Berrock Shop had their windows decorated for spring.
Chicken pot pie
Marinade on Main

Beautiful drive here. I enjoyed seeing the country side. Rolling hills and native shrubs were just out the window. We passed a place selling bales of hay. Ramona still retains that small town feel.
Croshaw’s Gourmet Pies

Croshaw’s Gourmet Pies was our first stop for food on the way to Zion National Park. Inside was the sweet scent of pies in the air.
Cracker Barrel – Yuma

I wondered about all the rocking chairs outside. I now understand. There is often a wait to get in. Your options are shop in the gift shop, sit in the rocking chairs, or wait in your car.
Mom’s Pie House – Julian

The drive to Julian on the 79 highway was beautiful. I saw fields of green and Lake Cuyamaca. So relaxing.
Julian Cafe & Bakery

Julian Cafe has a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. They are quite strict about their meal times. I showed up at 11am and could only order breakfast.
