The Chinese New Year began on February 10, 2024. This is the year of the Dragon. Dragon is powerful, endlessly energetic and full of vitality, goal-oriented yet idealistic and romantic, and a visionary leader. They know exactly who they are and possess the keenest sense of self among the 12 zodiacs of Chinese astrology. https://chinesenewyear.net/zodiac/dragon/ […]

I lived near this part of town in the 70’s. I remember it was quiet and there was a bowling alley. The bowling alley has closed. Replaced by apartments. It looks like a huge apartment complex is being built across the street. Should be lots of business for The Nood Bar when complete.

I remember Chef Zhu from when he ran Double Happiness. He made delicious pan fried noodles and other dishes. I was sad when Double Happiness was sold. Now Chef Zhu is back in business and I came by to try the pan fried noodles.

We were staying in San Bruno and looking for awesome Chinese food. My co-worker Allisa suggested Koi Palace in Daly City. Most of the time I eat Chinese food at hole in the wall type places.

Scientists theorize you can go back in time by travelling faster than the speed of light. Alternatively you can close your eyes and step foot in Mow Lee Shing Kee. Breathe deep and try to visualize each scent.

When I visit San Francisco I try to visit Hong Kong Lounge or sister restaurant Lai Hong Lounge. This trip I opted for Hong Kong Lounge. I was happy to find free street parking a few blocks away. I try my favorite dishes.
