It was a rainy afternoon as we pulled up to Mitchell’s. Luckily there was a parking spot available! This was a nice end to and awesome day. I picked 5 half gallons to go.

Rori’s Artisanal Creamery – Carpinteria

Rori’s Artisanal Creamery reminds me of a game show. I have three choices.
Angelo’s Italian Ice & Gelato

I was in the Phoenix area looking for the extremely elusive Cherry Vanilla Blue Bell ice cream and discovered Angelo’s Italian Ice + Gelato in a Walmart. I love trying unique frozen treats so I picked up an Italian Ice and a gelato container.
Salt & Straw – One Paseo
When I was a kid Sue Bee made the most delicious honey I had ever tasted. Orange blossom honey had that honey sweetness with hints of orange blossom. I have never tasted such a delicious orange flavor till now.
Salt & Straw – One Paseo Yelp pre-Grand Opening event

Cold, smooth on my tongue, so creamy, rich vanilla flavor. They call it Double Fold Vanilla. It’s one of the best I’ve tasted. Reminds me of McConnell’s vanilla.
Atlas World Fresh Market

Atlas Market has a good amount of exotic foods but it’s the ice cream that interested me. There are many flavors I have not seen before.
Bi-Rite Market – 18th Street

One of the first grocery stores I shopped at was just a bit bigger than Bi-Rite. At the time I was just interested in getting 7Up and Hires Root Beer. Bi-Rite is more for gourmet cooks while that old grocery store was more for necessities and alcohol.
