This special garden is nestled in between Rady Hospital, Rady Speciality Clinics building and the parking lots. It is a welcome reprieve from necessary doctoring and I’m sure it’s appreciated by the staff and family members too.

Crown Books @ Horton Plaza

Years ago, Crown Book stores used to be everywhere. My curiosity was peeked so I took a look inside. The selection is varied and vast. However I failed to find any ‘hot off the press’ or recent published books, hmm. Prices were competitive with what you’d find on Amazon.

I’ll have to admit I was a tiny bit apprehensive about eating here as I was not sure what to expect. Pretty much standard fast food set up with the theme decoration color, Red. ❤️ It’s a fitting color as the staff is very friendly and helpful.

In 1890 The Pasadena Valley Hunt Club started the parade. In 1895, the Tournament of Roses Association was formed to take charge of the festival. Today few floats are still built exclusively by volunteers, most are constructed by professional float building companies and take nearly a year to finish.
