Glance to the side of the highway and see the businesses that come and go. I remember Cape Town ,Sarap Filipino Kitchen, Gaya Gaya, and Boss Bird. Now the sign says Kusina.

Hot, crunchy, dripping oil. Generous amount of shredded, marinated beef. Great tasting beef taco.
Elite Experience: Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
This mall is so new that not all the shops have opened yet. I noticed Wise Ox is almost finished. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is shiny and modern.
Carmen’s Mexican Food
This little strip mall reminds me of olden times. It’s not shiny or fancy or modern.

The first time I noticed the San Diego Union was while in the first grade. A neighbor had stacks of newspapers in the garage to recycle. The bright colors caught my eye. I started reading the old Sunday comics.
