I stopped by Sam Woo to buy a duck and was surprised to see zongzi. I have not found any place in San Diego that has good zongzi so I did not have high hopes.

Palomar Mountain Spring Water
Palomar Mountain was one of my fav spots to play in the snow. It was magical grabbing handfuls of cold, fluffy, snow and creating snowballs or snowmen. It has been a long time since I’ve been to the mountain as it doesn’t snow much now compared to when I was a kid.
Max’s Restaurant
I remember the old days when this was a Fuddruckers. The scent of burgers on the grill has been replaced by that of fried chicken. It’s the apocalypse and I’m the only one here at opening time on a Thursday.
Cane Patch Kitchen
Liberty Market has many eateries to try out. I usually go to Latin Chef but they were not open yet so I visited Cane Patch Kitchen.

The Daily Bagel
When I visit this little mall it’s usually to shop at Vons or to get chinese food at Shanghai Cafe. Lately I’ve been trying to visit more places within biking distance. I locked up my bike at the bike rack outside Vons and after picking up some groceries I visited The Daily Bagel.
The Balboa Bar & Grill
When a world ends, there’s always something left over. A story, perhaps, or a vision, or a hope. The Sandman – Neil Gaiman I remember the first time I stepped from the light into the darkness. Scent of beer and burgers was in the air. The Balboa would become my favorite place in town to get […]
Bowlegged BBQ
You can smell the smoke a block away. I lucked out and found parking along the street in front. Scent of smoke is much stronger now. I walked over to the side of the building and found the source.
