Breathe in the scent. Nothing like that aroma of fresh fried chicken.

Firehouse Subs – Clairemont Mesa Blvd
I have a weakness for bbq. Something about the smoky aroma that teases you before you even look at the menu.
Stater Bros – Carmel Mountain Rd.
I generally don’t like the risk of dried out supermarket fried chicken but Stater Bros. has never disappointed me.
Cowboy Star
Each time we drive to Cowboy Star I glance out the window to see how the first place I lived is doing. It’s still standing. I wonder how much longer it will last before it’s demolished and replaced by a 20 story condo tower. Downtown San Diego is constantly changing.
Yelp Elite Week @ Tahini
It was raining outside. Inside it was warm and the scent of shawarma filled the air.
Ken Cinema
“Things need not have happened to be true. Tales and dreams are the shadow-truths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes, and forgot.” Neil Gaiman, Dream Country Ken Cinema first opened in 1946. I started visiting while in college.
California Fish Grill
I was sad watching them rip out the guts of Fuddruckers. The kobe beef burger was great.
