I grew up eating tacos at El Indio and the various Roberto’s and offshoots. I was excited to try a craft taco.

Tuetano Taqueria
I love visiting Old Town except on weekends when parking is challenging. Visiting on a weekday at 11am it was like a ghost town. I found Tuetano Taqueria inside the Urban Market Food Hall. I ordered a regular birrea taco and a birrea taco on a homemade corn tortilla.
Fidel’s Little Mexico
Fidel’s has been in Eden Gardens since the 1960’s when Fidel Montanez started selling tacos in his barber shop.
Birrieria Ay Jalisco
We were out in Escondido touring Lisa and Liang’s new house. After the tour we decided to get tacos. There are many taco shops to choose from in Escondido. We decided to try Birrieria Ay Jalisco. Nicely decorated inside.
Yelp San Diego’s Fright at the Museum
One of the things I look forward to each year is the Yelp Halloween party. You never know which Yelp friends you will see. This year I saw old Yelp CM’s Brad and Trish as well as Mia, Vin, Karen, Cesar, and Marilyn.
Mike’s Red Tacos
Years ago I ate Peruvian food here when Nazca Grill was open Now Mike’s Red Tacos is here.
Casa De Reyes
I love visiting Old Town. Back in 1834 the Mexican government granted San Diego chartered town status. Lots of historical buildings to check out. My co-workers voted to have our monthly lunch at Casa De Reyes.
Crack Taco Shop
Crack Taco Shop gets its name from it’s “crack” tri-tip steak which originated from Seaside Market in Encinitas.
