I remember the first time I had Chinese food in this area at Wendell Hom’s Teapot Inn. He opened it in 1966 and my brother worked there while he went to college at SDSU. It was dark and I loved the food there.

Bottles of soda Water from Europe & mountains Cornish game hens fry. Gold sparkling in the sun. Crunchy batter sliding past my lips. Southern spices exciting my tongue. I was dreaming of eating the catfish at Little Jewel of New Orleans. Now that I’m here my will is weak.
